Easter Ski

Here in Chamonix the Easter skiing week has got off to a great start with 50cm of fresh snow and Chamonix topping the snow depth charts, not only in Europe, but according the Ski Club of Great Britain, across the world.

We often get asked what it is like to ski Easter here in Chamonix, so I'll just quote the snow depth figures of 168cm at 2,000m, and 400cm at 3,275m which should tell its tale? Chamonix is undoubtably one of the best luxury ski resorts you'll find anywhere in the world and Easter skiing is just one of the great times to ski when the weather is little bit warmer, the days are a little longer, and typically the sun shines a little brighter (although with snow forecast most of this week this may be a mute point on this occasion).

Chamonix Christmas

With five weeks still left of the this season here in the Chamonix Valley, it might seem strange to be talking about a ski Chamonix Christmas holiday! But with demand always high for this week, a Chamonix Christmas needs to be planned well in advance if one wants to avoid the chalets that no one else wants!

Here at Chalet Prarion, we pride ourselves on being the finest ski in ski out chalet, and certainly one of the best luxury chalets in Chamonix. Therefore a Chamonix Christmas at Chalet Prarion means that you get spoilt, from being picked up at the airport by our own staff, and not some random transfer company along with another chalets guest, the fresh cakes and biscuits on arrival, champagne and canape reception in the evening, through to the four course gastronomic delight, always prepared by a professional, highly qualified chef, and not some student or budding dinner party enthusiast.

And a ski Christmas means at Chalet Prarion you still get all the decorations, the Christmas tree, but with a 'white' ski in ski out location. And on Christmas Day, bucks fizz with scrabbled eggs and smoked salmon is just one of the offerings, before you set down later in the day to a traditional Christmas dinner of either Goose, Venison, or Turkey, followed by a traditional made Christmas pudding that we ship in to Chamonix all the way from rural Gloucestershire.

So have a great Chamonix Christmas here at Chalet Prarion.
