One Week To Go Before Grands Montets Opening

Well you know the ski season is around the corner when those of us residing in the Chamonix valley start queing at the ticket office for the forthcoming ski season pass and this week was that week. Next week, with snow depths already building well, the Grands Montets will open and we will therefore be getting the boots on the boot warmers and the iron on the skis (applying that wax).

I guess when running a luxury chalet you don't always get as much chance to ski during the festive Christmas and Ski New Year weeks and the months from January to April as many would maybe expect and therefore, the months of November and December, in between getting the chalet ready for the ski season, is one of those great chances to squeeze a few runs in before the real season start.
